The Parks and Recreation Department is operated by a commission.

There are a total of 7 parks.  They are John Hayden Smith Park located on Canal Street; Jesse Wynne Park located on Union and Merriman; Wallin Park located on Commercial and Front; Cottonwood Park located on Union and Cottonwood; EU Deshay Park located on G Street and Williams, Malone Street Park; and the Wynne Sports Complex located on Highway 1 North.
